Rodent Control Kit
Rodent Control Kit

The last thing a homeowner or business owner would want inside or around their structure is a rodent infestation. Once a rodent population settles into or around a structure, it is frustrating and difficult to eradicate the population. This is partially due to the fact that it is usually difficult to eliminate all food sources. Also, rodents reproduce at an alarming rate. Because rodent infestations are difficult to manage and control, sometimes, just one type of product is insufficient to gain a complete control of the rodent infestation. Furthermore, it’s costly enough to hire a professional to get rid of rodents enough, but it can also be expensive to purchase all the necessary rodent control products separately. These circumstances have urged our technicians at Acepestcontrolproducts to put together a variety of rodent control kits so that you can get the best and most effective products bundled together at a low cost.

If you have any questions on what rodent control kit is the best for the rodent infestation that you are experiencing, give us a call at 1-888-543-4142.

Products Included in Rodent Control Kits

The rodent control kits that are provided by Acepestcontrolproducts contain a variety of the necessary products that are used for rodent control.

  • Snap Traps: Snap traps are one of the most traditional methods of control. The new designs of the snap traps that are included in the rodent control kits are similar to the traditional snap traps except they have been upgraded with a sleek design so that it is impossible for the rodent to escape. When the trap is triggered, a powerful spring shuts the trap closed so that they kill the rodents on contact. Rodent snap traps provide visual results so that people will not have to search for the carcass in inconspicuous areas.
  • Glue Board Traps: Rodent glue boards are one of the safest methods of rodent control. Glue boards are cardboard pieces with specially designed glue that is attached to them. Once a rodent is caught in the glue, it is virtually impossible to escape. As they entangle themselves on the glue, the stress on the body results in death of the rodent. Like snap traps, glue boards provide visual results and easy removal of the carcass.
  • Rodenticide Bait: The rodenticides that are included in our rodent control kits are poison baits that are an ingestion poison. The poisons interrupt the normal functions of their vital organs and will disrupt them internally. Rodent bait poisons are effective in that they use food grade ingredients to attract the rodents to the bait. They also have a delay kill effect as well as a secondary kill effect. That is why, ultimately, you will be killing more than one rodent with just one feeding of bait.
  • Rodent Lure: Some of the kits that Acepestcontrolproducts provides also include a natural attractant. These are natural based hormone attractants that lure the rodents to whatever traps are laying ahead of them.
  • Bait Stations: For the safety of your children, pets, and the non-target wildlife, many of the rodent control kits that are available at Acepestcontrolproducts include tamper resistant bait stations that are able to hold all types of poison baits as well as snap traps. Tamper resistant bait stations keep children, pets and non-target animals out of the box and can only be opened with a key. There are also non-tamper resistant bait stations that protect baits and traps from indoor elements for indoor rodent control. These indoor elements that can potentially make a bait and trap ineffective are such things as dust build-up and dirt build-up.

How to Effectively Choose a Rodent Control Kit

Depending on where your infestation is concentrated or where area you want to target, you will choose a different rodent control kit. For instance, for indoor rodent control, it is best to avoid using rodenticides. This is because most of the rodent poisons that are included in the some of the kits have a delay kill effect. This gives the rodents time to wander off before they die which can lead to bad odors in the home. Therefore, many of the indoor kits that are available consist of snap traps and glue traps. If you have small children or pets, you may want to consider placing snap traps inside bait stations so that they do not snap on the hands, feet, or paws of your pets and children. For outdoor control, it is good to use stronger methods of control which will consist of snap traps as well as poison baits. Baits should be placed at least every ten feet apart. To prevent secondhand poisoning of non-target wildlife, place baits in bait stations.

A.   There are several different products for Dust Mite control. Look into Steri-fab, which is a spray that does not have a residual but is great for an initial treatment or one time treatment. Also, Bedlam Bed Bug Spray has dust mites on the product label that is a great product as well and has a short residual of about 1 week to 2 weeks.

Q. What product to get for DrywoodTermite and will you shipped to Hong Kong
My mother has an apartment (on the 9th floor) in Hong Kong and she found termites. I believe they are drywood termites and she is looking for a spray to prevent the termites from developing again. I wonder if you can recommend a strong product and easy to apply - just spraying at the spot will be great. I also wonder if you shipped directly to Hong Kong. Thanks for your help.
A.   Premise Foam seems like the product you are looking for! However, we are unable to ship the product to Hong Kong due to strict regulations on international shipping.
